Direct TV announced plans to make their digital television available on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, as well as on PCs running windows. Not only will this help turn simple PCs into DVRs, but with support for video games, HDTV, Apple iPod and other portable sound devices, this also takes the Xbox 360 one step closer towards total entertainment ownage.

As many of us has noticed, many gamers were left empty-handed as shops quickly sold out of their Xbox 360. The ambitious global launch of the new console led to severe shortages, especially in the US and the UK. In response to the shortage problems, Peter Moore has told the BBC that Microsoft have signed up a third company to start making the Xbox 360.
