Greetings guys and girls I've got some great news to report which should make you all really proud. Recent sales of consoles and computer-games are breaking all kinds of cool records, in Europe especially in my country the UK including the single biggest week at retail. This isn't surprising if you've been shopping at oxford street like I have not to buy anything too expensive. All my money goes on video games and I'm far too cheap ;) surprise surprise.

The anticipated battle between Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3 for videogame console supremacy has become a sideshow to the unexpected rise of Nintendo's Wii as the new-generation game console of choice. Once a dark-horse contender, the Wii has outsold both its competitors in recent months. According to sales data from the NPD Group, the Wii sold 335,000 units in February to the Xbox 360's 228,000 and the PS3's 127,000.

Electronic Arts (EA) has announced its 2006 holiday line-up that includes more than 20 game titles. Whether it's action, adventure, sports or racing games, EA had created something special for you this holiday with their games which will be available on 11 different platforms.

Pika! Pika! Kids just can’t get enough of those little furry friends and their desire to “Catch’em All.” The Pokemon franchise is a big reason for Nintendo’s success, especially for the GBA. Pokemon just isn’t one of those franchises that is going away (like Mega-Man). Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has announced in marketing briefing in Japan recently that Pokemon Battle Revolution is in the works.

Nintendo’s updated the release list for Spring. Electroplankton’s fallen off the face of the planet, Brain Training has a release date (later than expected due to localisation into languages like Dutch), New Super Mario Bros has a release date and betting on DS Lite coming out in June for Europe has become more popular. Hopefully, we’ll have some new screenshots and stuff of these games in the next few days.
