Recent sales of consoles and computer-games are breaking all kinds of cool records, in Europe especially in my country the UK including the single biggest week at retail.
This isn’t surprising if you’ve been shopping at oxford street like I have not to buy anything too expensive. All my money goes on video games and I’m far too cheap
surprise surprise.
The amount of people i saw buying games in londons busiest district was incredible everyone seemed to be buying games by the bucket load.
At the close of 2007 a crazy 78 million games will have been sold in the UK alone , which is a new record in itself up 16.6 percent on 2006, worth 25.3 percent by value. so the next time your parents or girlfriend complain you play too much video games just simply say well bog off everyones doing it
Last week alone, total sales of video and computer games throughout the UK rakes in sales of £87.9 million. Video games and gaming in general is now truly mass market. The console market now accounts for 79 per cent of software revenues and 75 per cent of total software units.
