Nintendo Co. on Mon. announced a range of new Virtual Console titles for the Wii home video game system, including the action title Metroid.
The first installment of the Metroid series features Samus in a mission to penetrate the home planet Zebes. The 1-player title is rated E and retails for 500 Wii Points.
The RPG title Shining in the Darkness is now available for download. The Sega Genesis title features a 3D dungeon perspective and deadly beasts in the Kingdom of Thornwood. The 1-player title retails for 800 Wii Points.
Finally, the action game Cratermaze is now available to download. The TurboGrafx-16 title features comical action to battle dinosaurs, ninjas, robots, and more to save your friends. The 1-player title retails for 600 Wii Points.
Nintendo’s Wii is the top-selling home console in the U.S., moving more than 381,000 units in the month of June. It has sold more than 2.4 million units in the U.S. to date.
