Sony has ben keeping themselves pretty busy this year, both in the movie and video game industry (well, summarize that into the entertainment industry :)). Their list of debuting new games doesn’t seems too bad afterall.

PS3 Blu-Ray Discs
F.E.A.R.TM
Spider-Man 3
Ninja Gaiden® Sigma
MLB 07 The ShowTM
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End
The Darkness®
The Bigs
TRANSFORMERS: The Game

PlayStation Network Downloadable Titles
Calling All CarsTM
Championship SprintTM
Gauntlet IITM
Joust®
RampageTM World Tour
Super Puzzle FighterTM II HD Remix
Rampart®

Spider Man 3: The PS3 gets lots of exclusive content including a completely exclusive controllable character, “The New Goblin”, controllable via the sixaxis tilt functionality. Many movie-based video games fails to capture gamers heart, and the previous 2 games in the franchise has not gain enough good word of mouth to be regarded as a decent game. It’s also a truth that Sony decided to premiere the spiderman 3 movie exclusively in Japan. How about considering that a tactic to capture more exposure and buzz to persuade Japs to buy a spiderman 3 game to play on PS3?

The Darkness: The developers behind this game, Starbreeze Studios, also developed the Xbox shooter, “The Chronicles Of Riddick”. Many thought that that title was actually a better Xbox shooter than Halo 2. I can’t wait to see how this title turns out. Also, the developers have spoken very highly of the PS3 which suggests that we will actually get a high quality version (possibly the best) rather than a dumbed down port.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma: This is a rather extensive remake of an extremely highly rated Xbox exclusive. It sounds like they are really delivering a dramatically improved remake that takes full advantage of the PS3 and not just giving us a quick port.

Transformers: Definately one of my favorite cartoon show back in those days. Can’t wait for their movie! How will Sony put this into a game? The idea of transforming from a car/truck into a gun-fighting-robot-machine gives me a chill back at the spine though.
