What kind of miracle do you call this? For the first time in Japan, the almost 7 year old PS2 outsold it’s successor, the PS3. For the week of January 22 to January 28, 20,995 PS2 consoles were sold, and where only 19,996 PS3s were bought. Worldwide sales of the PS2 have been so strong that Sony has upped its worldwide shipment target from 11 to 13 million PS2s. For the same week the Nintendo sold 83,754 Wii, and Microsoft only sold 7365 Xbox 360s.
