Sony Drops Prices of Playstation 3 in Japan

Sony Focusing On Playstation 3 Premium (60GB) Units

An analyst with Lazard Capital Markets said in a note to clients that the vast majority of the PlayStation 3 (PS3) game consoles at launch will be the premium (60GB) versions of the game machines that will come rich with features at a higher price-point.

Activision: $60 for a Playstation 3 Game

Activision has confirmed that their PS3 launch titles will cost a hefty $60. After all, when Xbox 360 came out last year, most of the titles for the first next-generation console was also selling for $60.

Toshiba Recalls 340,000 Batteries, Trouble for Sony

Laptop manufacturer Toshiba announced it was recalling 340,000 batteries of its Dynabook and Satellite lines. However, unlike Dell's and Apple's recalls, Toshiba says the defective batteries do not pose a fire risk, and that the affected batteries were affected by a glitch that prevents them from storing power properly.
