In a move akin to adding a these-guys-were-even-better wing to the Baseball Hall of Fame, Microsoft has launched a new budget line of Xbox games called the Best of Platinum Hits. The following titles will retail for $9.99–half the price of a run-of-the-mill Platinum Hit–when the program hits stores this month.
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (Bethesda Softworks)
Enter the Matrix (Atari)
Fuzion Frenzy (Microsoft Game Studios)
Project Gotham Racing 2 (Microsoft Game Studios)
Shrek 2 (Activision)
Soul Calibur II (Namco)
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon (Ubisoft)- Xbox 360 compatible
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Island Thunder (Ubisoft)
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six 3 (Ubisoft)- Xbox 360 compatible
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow (Ubisoft)- Xbox 360 compatible
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell (Ubisoft)- Xbox 360 compatible
Tony Hawk’s Underground (Activision)
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 (Activision)- Xbox 360 compatible
True Crime: Streets of LA (Activision)

Why are “Enter the Matrix” and “True Crime” on the list but no “Halo” or “KOTOR”?
