When you connect your Xbox 360 to Xbox Live the past few days, you may notice a few changes when you connect your Xbox 360.
That’s because Microsoft has upgraded the Dashboard operating system that controls many of the Xbox 360’s functions. The update, though relatively minor as far as software updates go, fixes a few key quirks, adds a few small features, and is rumored to smooth out in-menu performance.
The update went live on 30th January 2006, and it’s free of charge. Microsoft’s version history doesn’t go into great detail, some of the key changes include:
–Improvements to the Xbox Guide
–Option to retain your saved games when you delete a profile
–Increased accuracy of “last time played”
–Network configuration improvements for Xbox Live? members in the Netherlands
–More detailed messaging for unreadable disk or region errors
